If you are like most couples, you try and have a date night with just the two of you at least once a month! But now we cannot do that due to stay at home orders and social distancing guidelines. So, I am here to share with you some at-home date night ideas to get you through this quarantine. Spending alone time together is great for any relationship.
MOVIE NIGHT and CUDDLE.
If you have kids, put them to bed early and put on your comfy pants, pop some popcorn, jump on couch and turn on your favorite streaming service. Pick a show or a movie you will both like. Then enjoy some cuddle time with your favorite person. Maybe even have a good old-fashioned make-out session like you did when you first met!
CAMPOUT IN YOUR LIVING ROOM
I am sure you will think this is a super silly idea, but remember when you were a young child and getting so excited when your parents let you to build a fort in the living room and spend the night there? Part of having a great relationship with someone is to be able to have silly fun together and not be serious all the time. So have some fun together and build a soft comfy bed with blankets and comforters, inside your tent. Watch your favorite tv show, play a game of war, or maybe even play a sexier card game (if you know what I mean)
HAVE SOME FUN IN THE KITCHEN
Preparing a meal together can be a fun and romantic thing to do. Make your favorite dish or venture into something new that you have never tried. Did you know that there are foods out there that are believed to be aphrodisiacs? For many people 2 things dominate their minds. Food and sex are closely linked- romantic meal and sweet treats and let not forget that scene from Nine and a Half Weeks. Here is a list of foods that are believed to be aphrodisiacs, give them a try and see where the night takes you.
TAKE A BATH TOGETHER
Taking a bath together is not only romantic and intimate, but it allows you to relax from the stress of the day, and who could not use a little stress relief during these times of uncertainty . Light a few candles and play some soft music. Just relax and reconnect with one another
HAVE A GOOD OLD-FASHIONED MAKE-OUT SESSION
Jump on the couch and have a good old fashioned make-out session like we did when we were teenagers.
PULL OUT OLD PHOTOS AND REMEMBER THE GOOD TIME YOU HAD TOGETHER
This could be a funny and yet nostalgic walk down memory lane. Seeing what you both looked like and how much you have changed since you met. I bet seeing clothing trends of the past will give you a good laugh. If you are a digital picture hoarder, this might be a great time to get those memories into print. Look a printing company online such as BLURB or SHUTTERFLY and get those memories in a book!
DO YOUR OWN PHOTOSHOOT
When this pandemic passes and we are back to living a normal life, we will look back and remember how bored we were. So you my suggestion is give this quarantine some good memories and take some fun selfies together just having fun and making silly faces. Then print them out and put them into a frame and down the road you can look back at the photos and remember the silly fun you had taking them. Or you can take this a step further and have a sexy photoshoot with your partner. Have fun taking the photos and then DELETE them, so no one find them in the future. DO SOME YOGA TOGETHER
Yoga has many great benefits such as improving your mood, clearing your mind and relaxing your body. If you have never done yoga before pick some basic poses and try them out together. If you and your partner and more experienced with Yoga, pick some couples poses and give them a try, but be CAREFUL not to hurt yourselves, you don’t want to have to visit your local emergency room and risk catching the virus.
GIVE EACH OTHE MASSAGES
Massage with your partner and be a relaxing and romantic thing to do. Regular or sensual, you decide.
