4 Reasons you do not have to lose 10, 15 or 20 Pounds have a boudoir session. Scales DO Lie , Why the numbers don’t matter
when you’re considering a boudoir photography photo session
I recently took a poll in my Facebook VIP Ladies Lounge, my group has over 3000 members. I asked what was holding them back from having a boudoir session done. Over half of the people who responded to the poll said that they wanted and felt like they needed to lose some weight first. Seeing the results of this poll hit me hard, and was disheartening to see how many women did not like how they looked and how many women let the number staring back at them on scale dictate how they felt in their own skin.
- It is not about the size you wear or the number on the scale, it is about how you wear and rock that size. Some of my favorite sessions I have done over the last 11 years have been with very curvy girls. And each of them came in feeling the same you do and loved their sessions and photos. The boudoir experience is about capturing your unique authentic self. So, you can see yourself the way everyone else sees you.
- Boudoir photography is all about wardrobe, lighting and posing. I have over 11 years’ experience working with woman of all shapes and sizes and I want to assure you that when you see your finished photographs you will not see all of your perceived flaws. If you do not feel like you can rock the figure that was given to you, let go, trust my experience and let me rock it for you. I know how to pose all body types !!!
- We ALL have lumps, bumps, curves, lines, freckles, moles and stretch marks. We all have rolls when we bend over. Trust me when I say this. I have seen hundreds of undressed women over the years. Even women who are naturally very tiny have all the same problems. We all have that one friend who seems to have everything together, you know the one that seems to have the perfect life or the perfect body. I want you to remember that the seemingly perfect friend of yours may be looking right back at you wishing they were you. You may hate the stretch marks that being pregnant gave you, but they may be wishing they had them.
- I know exactly what you are thinking right now- but the women on tv don’t look anything like I do, they are perfect and I wake up looking like one of those troll dolls. Well I am going to tell you a little secret, they are not perfect and those amazing photos you see of them are heavily photoshop and sculpted to fit into what the main stream media wants us to think is the perfect body. If you saw they’re before shots, they will look nothing like the after shots.
