Trust the Boudoir Process

When booking a boudoir photographer it is important that you trust not only the photographer that you choose, but you must trust in the process.  When choosing a boudoir photographer for your shoot please be sure that they have the experience and will give you the amazing experience and beautiful photos that you deserve.  You should choose someone who has tons of experience with women of all shapes and sizes. You should also choose someone who is willing and wanting to speak with you and get to know YOU before booking your session.  I know alot of women shop purely on price, but please please be careful doing that, remember if it is to good to be true it probably is. Now I am not saying that there are not some really great low cost photographers out there but please be careful, I have heard a lot of not so pretty experiences.  Talk to you friends, read google reviews ( those come directly from the mouth of the actual client).

Once you make the decision on the photographer, you need to trust in the process. When you have been a boudoir photographer for over 10 years like I have been, you get to know what works and what does not work and you suggest those to your clients.  As a client you have the choice to listen to these suggestions and the choice to not listen.  One of the main suggestions I give clients is not to tan and especially not to spray tan !!!! Unless you want to look like an umpa lumpa.  Tan and especially spray tan does not render well in camera and could be problematic. I had a client many many years ago who did a spray tan for the first time ever right before her session and she found out the hard way that parts of her skin did not accept the spray tan. Tan lines can also be problematic, while they can be sexy sometimes in the right situation, they can look bad in photos.  And I will not fix tan lines.

Another thing that clients question is why should I  use a hair and makeup artist for you my session.  Well that answer is easy, because your session will be amazing if you have hair and makeup done. The lighting that is used in photographer can wash you out and it is helpful to have makeup to show the definition in you face and make you look more glamorous that you everyday self. Now I am not saying that you have to look like like a completely different person, but makeup helps 100%. Most girls do not know how to apply for everyday use, let alone how to apply makeup for the camera, it is a totally different application.  Alot of people also question why they should use the photographers designated makeup artist. That is because they know exactly how the photographer lights and processes their images. Personally I have been working with my artists for over 8 years.  While I do not include/require hair and makeup with my sessions, I highly suggest it, you will be much happier with you images, I PROMISE.

During your session, me or whom ever you chose will direct you through your posing. They may put you in poses that feel abit awkward, but if they know what they are doing, please trust them and you will have beautiful images. You may even be abit sore the next day from posing.

These are just a few of the things that will make your images great.

I hope this helps and I hope that you choose me and my 10 years of experience for your boudoir photography experience.  Call me, make an appointment to come and meet me and see my studio.
