It is totally okay to be nervous and shakey –
Having nervous feelings means you have taken that dreaded step outside your comfort zone. And do you know what happens outside comfort zones? GREAT THINGS ! Both growth and self- discovery happen for you when you step out of your comfort zone and do something that scares you. I promise the nerves will not last long. Each session tailored to your comfort level.
We aren’t judging –
It is our job to pose you in the best way possible way. I know you feel like you have flaws, but we are not even looking at the things that you believe are not your greatest features. Girl, let me tell you a secret- no one else sees or even cares about your perceived flaws. It is only you! And that little bitch inside your head telling you that you are not enough, it is time to shut her up for good!
Waredrobe is KEY to having awesome photos–
By choosing the proper fitting clothing, you are giving your photographer the ability to pose you any way they would like. There is clothing out there for each and every body type, you may not think so, but I promise you there is! Don’t like your tummy, then choose an outfit and cover it during your session. Ask a friend for their opinion, or just bring more than you need to your session and I will help you. And if you are really nervous, put the outfits and text me pictures!! Just make sure what you bring fits you, because the quickest way to ruin a session is with clothing that does not fit.
Can this be photoshopped out?–
Somethings can be photoshopped our of your boudoir pictures and somethings can’t. Before booking your session please ask me if what you want to be photoshopped out can be done!
We are required by law to respect your privacy-
I am going to take the most gorgeous pictures of you that have ever seen. But they are your photos and it is your decision to decide if you want to keep them private or share them with the world. I will respect your privacy. All of the women you see have given legal permission for us to use their images. But if you decide to share them, just know you are helping other women get the guts to schedule their session.
You will probably sore after your session.
Trust me when I say posing for boudoir portraits is not easy! You will be stretching and bending your body in ways that you are not used to. And you will probably be thinking, what on earth is she doing to me, this can not look good! But trust me, I have been photographing women for over 12 years and I know what looks good. That is part of what you are paying for when you hire a professional photographer. Be sure to stretch out your body before you come to your session and then again after. If you are sore the next day, try taking a pain reliever.
I do not care if you are a size 2 or 22 !
Do not put limits on what you think you should do or should not do based on your clothing size. All bodies are beautiful. I know that as people we are always striving to be better, but what is wrong with you at this exact moment in time. I have photographed women who were a size zero who did not like themselves at all! And I have photographed women who were plus-sized who embraced everything about themselves. This tells me it is not about clothing size. Enjoy life and the person who you are right now, cause none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow! No one gets out alive darling. Enjoy each day to the fullest!
